The Carmel Mission Basilica was founded in 1771 and is such a gorgeous example of a California Mission. It has a beautiful church and pristine grounds full of photo opportunites. Christine and Joey hosted their full mass wedding ceremony at the Carmel Mission which impressed everyone with it’s grandeur.
Up around the bend of the road lies Mission Ranch, a popular resort, restaurant and wedding venue in Carmel-by-the-Sea, famously owned by Clint Eastwood. One of the biggest logistical hardships when planning your wedding is when your guests have to commute too far from the ceremony to the reception venue. Mission Ranch was such a breeze- guests can walk between the two if they choose. There are many other Carmel Valley wedding venues nearby that lay close to the mouth of the valley, and not too far at all for your guests to access.
