The fall family portrait session took place at the beautiful Doyle Park in Santa Rosa. There was the idyllic trees changing colors and a light cloud cover creating the perfect diffuser for this session.
I had fun with these two cousins. Both two, and little shy around one another, it presented a challenge to get them in the same frame. I had to get creative, and coax them into laughing and giggling with silly jokes and faces.
A note for parents: A common response to a family session with young children is sometimes feeling that the children didn't behave how they (the parents) expected, or wanted them to, and feeling like I wouldn't have been able to get anything good. Then they see their proofs for the first time at the ordering session, and are shocked what I was able to capture. It's all in the small moments, the in-between looks and smiles, to capture the true essence. Have no fear parents!
