When Marisa and Justin first hired me to photograph their June wedding, part of the package they choose was tailored to include a "pre-wedding" shoot, something I had never done before, but excited to try. One week before her wedding day, Marisa had a full hair and makeup trial run as is standard when getting ready for the big day. Instead of it ending there, she threw on her dress, veil and tiara, and we headed out for a full bridal shoot. It was wonderful to have the time to explore and play with ideas, one of which resulted in the beautiful red chair photos. Her parents have a lovely antique red velvet couch that we had brought out to the field in full sunset mode (gorgeous!). This is something I will definitely be incorporating into future weddings.
Oh, and did I mention they have horses?
Then came the wedding day. The ceremony was held at St. Eugene's Catholic Cathedral in Santa Rosa. I loved the look of the church... stone walls makes for a beautiful and interesting backdrop.
The reception was held at Foppoli Vineyards in Windsor. The ripe and lush vines made for a perfect picture wedding night.
