Your wedding day will be a fantastic, lovely blur when it's all said and done. After months of careful, incredible detailed planning, it all comes together into the beautiful love-filled day it was always supposed to be. Whether you go DIY all the way, or arrange for a seasoned planner to coordinate your event, your emotions will be the same that day. The anticipation. All the waiting. Culminating to this one, very special moment. The world with pause, let out a sigh, and acknowledge your love. Ok so I'm a bit of a romantic. But my point is this... the day is magical and exhilarating and can seem to fly by. Having a professional who understands your personalities, aesthetic, and will capture the moments you don't always know are happening around you is the key to reliving your wedding day over and over again. As the memories fade with time, your wedding album will grow in value as you turn the pages 30 years from now. 

Based in Sonoma's winey country, I have been photographing weddings professionally since 2009. I also travel the globe to your perfect wedding venue. Your wedding will be unique and have special considerations, so I will build a custom collection just for your. ELOPEMENTS

An intimate wedding has all of the careful planning and thoughtfulness of a traditional wedding, but with a limited guest count, and cozy feel (hence the intimate). They range from elopements of just two, to a beautiful, elegant affairs of 60 in a winery cellar. My favorite things about intimate weddings are the connections between the couple and their guests. During every intimate wedding I photograph, the couples are less stressed, don't need to spend an hour making the rounds to see all of their guests, and can experience and enjoy their day. The reason I chose to focus on these smaller events is it really embodies what I think a marriage and wedding is about, and allows me to be creative with my time and shooting during your event. After hosting my own intimate wedding of 28, I saw the beauty in less!

WEDDING ALBUMS

Albums are the cornerstone of my wedding photography experience. There is simply no better way to tell the story of your wedding day that you can appreciate over and over again. You may only look at it a handful of times in the first few years, but as you approach 10, 15, or 40 years of marriage, these memories will grow in value. It's the only part of your wedding day that will appreciate in value.  Albums are custom designed in-house to tell the story of your wedding day, and printed at the best professional lab and hand-bound in the USA. Albums are available with a linen or leather cover with several cover finishing options. Sizes available are 10x10, 9x12 and 12x12.  Parent albums are available with the purchase of your larger album.

-ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS-

 

I recommend an engagement session for all of my wedding clients. It is the perfect way for us to get to know each other while creating fun and sweet images before you say 'I do". On your wedding day it will feel like a friend walking in to capture your day, instead of a stranger you've met once or twice. Plus, this is a secret advantage to me as I will already know the best way to photograph and pose you- a win-win!

Engagement sessions can be booked at any time of the year. I recommend you plan yours at least 6 months before your wedding day, in case you'd like to use any images for your wedding website, save the dates, or prints for the wedding day. I offer custom designed save-the-dates, guest sign-in books, and wall art from engagement sessions. 

When choosing a location, I recommend keeping it fun and personal. Your favorite coffee shop, riding bikes, hiking with your dog- this is all about what you enjoy as a couple. We will work together to plan the perfect time of day so the light is yummy, and coordinate perfect outfits. Maria was the best wedding photographer we could hope for. She was accommodating of our multi-event weekend, which included both a ceremony at San Francisco City Hall and an outdoor reception in Sonoma. She made the whole planning process easy, even though we were out of state. (Our first face to face meeting, excluding FaceTime, was on our wedding day.) She is incredibly easy going and patient. I have a very large family, many of whom are used to being in charge, and Maria handled all of these personalities very well. Even when we deviated from plan, she was flexible and unfazed. Her photographs are exceptional and have brought our whole family so much joy! We hope to use her for all of our family gatherings in years to come.

F.A.Q'S

How many images can we expect from our wedding?

400-600 images. It really depends on how many hours I will be there, how detail heavy your wedding is, and how many guests you have in attendance.

Do you offer prints for our home?

Yes- gorgeous wall art in both framed and frameless options. After your wedding, we will schedule a time for you both to come in, view your images, and place an order for albums and wall art.

How long after our wedding until we see the images?

You will see a sneak peek via email and social media within two days. The full gallery will be ready to view in six weeks. At that time, we will set up a time for you to come into the office to view your highlight slideshow, and give you the option to put together an album, wall art, thank you cards and gifts for family. If you are out of the area, this meeting will be conducted online.

Do we need a second shooter at our wedding?

It depends on the size of your wedding, and your expectations. Having a second shooter adds a whole other perspective and angle of your wedding day, all while allowing me to be in two places at once. I recommend a second shooter for weddings of 60 guests or larger, and especially if you would like 'getting ready' photos of both sides of the wedding.

Can we give you a list of photos to take?

Yes! It is crucial we work together to build out the perfect list of family formals for after the ceremony. By being organized in the weeks before the wedding, you will be assured that all of your loved ones will be captured. You don't have to worry about details shots, as I will always get the standards- the dress, cake, bridesmaids together, etc. Please do let me know if there are any special heirloom items, such as a handkerchief from your grandmother, that you will be carrying down the aisle.

Will you travel for weddings?

Duh! Wait- can I say duh? Oh well, I just said it. I am happy to drive five hours or fly 14 hours to be there to for your celebration. Travel fees and expenses are added on to your coverage- but believe me- seeing someone you know and trust on the morning of your wedding day is the best.

Will all of our images be edited?

Yes- by yours truly. All images will be adjusted for exposure, cropping, stylization and made black and white in my discretion. If there are any images that need heavy retouching we can discuss that. But don't worry- all the EXIT signs will be gone. :)

What is your payment schedule?

25% upon booking, and the remaining balance due 15 days before your wedding. You will have access to your invoice if you wish to pay along the way.

What happens if our wedding is cancelled/date moved?

If the unfortunate case that you have to move or cancel your wedding, the 25% retainer is non-refundable. If you are rescheduling your wedding date within a year of your original date, I will apply that retainer to the new date. In the case that you cancel your wedding, you are released from owing the remaining 75% balance.

What if our wedding runs late- will you stay longer?

Absolutely! Weddings are an organic being, and sometimes you can't help it if they run later than you hoped. I check in with all my couples/their planners 30 minutes before coverage ends, to see if additional time will be needed. Overage time is added by the half hour on at my hourly rate of $450.

What happens if you get sick or there is an emergency?

To start- that's never happened thus far in seven years *fingers crossed it never does*. But because life happens, it is necessary to be prepared. I have joined with the many professionals in the Sonoma and Napa area, and we have created a spreadsheet of everyone's contact info in case of a last minute emergency. So not only would I make sure a highly qualified professional will be there, but they would step in and fulfill the same coverage and the same cost, so you wouldn't need to worry about a thing!

Do we have to feed you at our wedding?

That would be fantastic! It is in my contract that myself and any second shooters/assistants require a meal when we work 5+ hours. It doesn't need to be the same fancy dinner that your guests will enjoy- in fact many caterers offer a less expensive 'vendor meal' option.
