One of the most crucial points when planning any session is where to have the session. Choosing a location that is not only beautiful, but also meaningful makes for a more natural and comfortable time in front of the lens. Another factor is when you create Wall Art, you will want to love the location of your session as you will be seeing it everyday. When Christine first contacted me about a maternity session for her first pregnancy, she knew exactly where they wanted to go for their session. Christine, her husband, and their two dogs, go hiking at The Fairmont Ridge overlooking Lake Chabot in San Leandro nearly every weekend. She knew it was the perfect space for celebrating their growing family with a maternity session.
Including the dogs in the session was so special, and they had a blast running around, smelling all the smells, and making their parents laugh. When planning your maternity session, aim for 7-8 months pregnant, choose clothes that are comfortable and flatter your bump, and choose accessories that will compliment your outfit (ie. Christine's geometric gold earrings and matching bracelets).
Most of all have fun and rock that bump!
