Sequoia Retreat Center Wedding

If you are looking for a redwood wedding venue in the Bay Area, The Sequoia Retreat Center in Ben Lomand is definitely worth checking out. It is tucked in the Santa Cruz mountain next to The Waterfall Lodge, another popular redwood venue. It is a terraced property with the ceremony down below and your reception and dinner space up above. It’s a steep but easy walk for your guests, and offers unparalled views of the redwood forest that defines this venue. My favorite part of The Sequoia Retreat Center is the mid-century design of reception space, with a huge deck for your guests to appreciate the trees. You can chose to have your cocktail hour on the deck, which is what my couple did.

Notable part of the wedding was the SEVEN (yes seven) choreographed ceremony entrance songs, the brides disco ball heels, and the multiple bubble moments. This was my first wedding with a bubble exit instead of led lights or sparklers, and it was so fun and whimsical! Lauren and Andrew also had bubble available during the ceremony so during their aisle exit they were showered in a sea of bubbles.
