Recipe for a great family portrait session:

-Lot's of love and smiles
-Coordinating but not matching outfits
-Beautiful locale in Sonoma County
-An openess to the process of being photographed. I find this is the hardest one to master- being observed and photographed is not an easy skill, especially when you want it to look natural. Usually my bad jokes, threats to tickle the kids, and asking the children to run and have fun puts everyone at ease :)
