I grew up going to San Francisco all the time, but had only been to Lombard Street once. I remember my family was all packed into our giant Dodge van and we drove down the tiny winding street- it seems so ridiculous and amazing that a street like this existed! I don't think there are many other landmarks so quintessentially San Francisco (maybe apart from The Golden Gate Bridge), so when Sam and Sammy suggested Lombard Street for their engagement session I was excited! It was a challenge with tourists as it's become a HUGE destination for tours and tons of people. They even had city workers there to help keep people out of the cars way.
We were able to work around the hoards and had a great time finding the pretty nooks and crannies the street has to offer. Then we jumped in the car and headed back to the marina to stroll around the Palace of Fine Arts- another classic view for San Francisco. You can't get any prettier then the pink building across a lake with swans (yes swans!) swimming across. It was the perfect warm evening that makes San Francisco an amazing city with a heartbeat of it's own. With an engagement session this good, I can't wait for Sam and Sammy's August wedding.
